Focus On Your Blessings And Overcome Your Problems
“Count your blessings, not your problems.” –
One of the things I have noticed about humanity is that every single person has problems. This is normal, and to be expected. Such is the nature of life.
As I’ve talked to clients within sessions, I’ve noticed that some focus primarily on the good aspects of their lives, while other people become obsessed with whatever is going wrong. Depending on what they’re going through at the time, getting caught up in their fears and worries can be hard to avoid. Still, a negative, depressed attitude is not helpful, and in fact, can be detrimental. Generally, what is most helpful, is for one to spend time thinking about all that’s going right now in their life before actively dealing with their problems.
Problems require attention…
Of course, problems sometimes require attention, and it’s important to deal with what is happening. In the Angel Readings that I do with clients, I help them develop strategies to deal effectively with problems that have surfaced, as well as doing the energy clearings that are included in the sessions, and I also encourage them to think about their blessings as well. When they think about their blessings, they automatically become happier, and that makes it easier for them to deal with and solve their problems.
Since everyone has problems, it’s really how we deal with our problems that makes all the difference. I have spent a good deal of time thinking about what the best way is to deal with challenges, and the conclusion I have come to is that one of the best ways is not necessarily to focus on the problem itself first, but rather, to create a happy feeling within first, and then to work on solving the problems.
How to create happiness from within…
But how can one create a happy feeling within? The answer is to focus on the blessings that you already have. When you get yourself to be happy by focusing on your blessings first, you place yourself into a position of strength rather than one of desperation. This helps you solve your problems faster.
If you want to be happy in life, think about things that are going right for you before you do anything else.
You can do this while sitting on your favorite chair at home, or while lying in bed, or any other place where you feel comfortable:
- Close your eyes and think about what’s going right for you right now, and the things that have gone right for you in the past.
- Reminisce about happy events you have experienced…remembering and mentally revisiting people and situations that made you happy in the past will make you happy again.
- It’s amazing how happy you can feel in just a few moments by remembering and re-experiencing happy moments that already happened!
- It also can make you happy to think about simple blessings that we all tend to take for granted, like the sweetness of breath, and the fact that you are breathing! It’s also good to contemplate about the fact that you have plenty of clean water to drink, good food to eat, a roof over your head, or anything else that’s going right for you as well! If you have people that love you, you’re among the very lucky. If you are one of those lucky people, think about the love around you too!
We all have problems in our lives, as I said before, but the good news is, we all have blessings as well. The more time you spend thinking about the blessings in your life, the happier you will feel, and the easier it will be to cope when problems in your life do pop up.
