The Path To God Through Love and Self-Acceptance

For those who want to live their lives doing good works and helping others, I’ve got news for you:

The way to do that is through love. When you have enough love within yourself—a heart filled with love—you can spread that love to others. But in order to get to that place, you’ve got to love yourself first.

That’s a step that even Incarnated Angels sometimes have a hard time with. They want to care about, and really help others, but they, themselves, are often self-deprecating. In fact, that is also a common problem in our culture—not just with Incarnated Angels. It’s called self loathing.

The problem with self-loathing is that as long as you remain in that mind-set, you really can’t love others, and you’ll be frustrated. Said in a different way, the only way you can truly love others is to truly love yourself, and then you’ll probably want to do good works.

Is it possible to love yourself?

People sometimes want to skip the step of loving themselves because they think it’s impossible. When I say people should love themselves, I’m not talking about developing an inflated ego. There’s already enough of that in the world, and that’s not actually love. What I am talking about is turning to God, looking at yourself honestly, seeing what’s good and what’s bad about yourself, and being willing to make whatever changes you need to make. You can do that by humbly asking God for forgiveness for your past transgressions, and then allowing God to help you heal.

When you look at yourself honestly in that way, and ask God to help you be the man or woman you were meant to be, you are doing the best thing for yourself that you could possibly do. In this way, you are showing self-acceptance and proving that you love and care for you.

When you ask God to heal your life, your life will heal, but it takes time.

You might find out that one of the things that had been bad about you was that your ego had been too strong. Realizing this can be a very humbling experience. You suddenly realize that you were acting more like a fool than you were ever aware of. That’s okay, because now you’ll stop. You’re happy you realized it, because now you can change, with God’s help. And this, again, is a way to truly love yourself…

See yourself honestly.
Make changes.
Be grateful.

In going through the steps it takes to clean up your own life with love, God, and humility, you simultaneously learn to love and accept others. You get rid of the idea that you are super-cool, perfect, (a delusion of the ego which masks a deeper self-loathing), and see yourself as a mere child of God. But in this, you are exalted, and, by extension, so are others. You recognize that others are children of God too, then it’s much easier to love them, because then you actually love yourself.

I love people very much…

When I’m doing Angel Readings for clients, one of the things they say is that they can tell me things they can’t tell anyone else. They say this, not just because I’m a psychic, but because they feel the love I have for them. I love people very much because I’ve already gone through the process I described above. My ego has been crushed through some of the immensely painful experiences of my past. The only way I could mentally and emotionally get through was by turning to God and praying and meditating all the time. Then, unlike any other time in my life previously, I was irresistibly drawn to the Book of Psalms. In fact, that’s all I could read. Nothing else held any interest to me. Just Psalms.

With the figure of David. David, who had been king—deeply humiliated by all the horrible things he was going through—and terribly afraid. He was asking God to help him that his enemies would not triumph over him.

I felt the same way. I was scared. I felt humiliated. It was awful, and yet it was good. It was what I needed for my own growth. It helped me to be and feel closer to God. It was a blessing.

Incarnated Angels and Angelic humans are especially interested in helping others and making the world a better place, but very often, as I said earlier, they want to skip the necessary step of loving and accepting themselves. This will never work. If you really want to help others and do a great deal of good things in the world, then you’ll need to go through whatever steps it takes to fully love and accept yourself first. Then, from there, you’ll be able to truly love and accept others as well.
